Camp He-Ho-Ha

Going to Camp He-Ho-Ha was one of the best experiences of my life. I was 10 years old. I can remember the good old days when we laughed, cried, got scared, played with the boys, and ate barbecued foods. It was the best times of my life!

I could not wait until summer every year to see my friends again. It was always tough at the beginning of camp. I had to leave my neighborhood friends and family. I felt scared of who would be my roommates for the duration of camp. But as time passed (1-2 days), things got better. I made many new friends and saw many old ones too. Then near the end of camp, I began to feel a little homesick and missed Mom.

When it was time to leave camp, I never wanted to go. It was a great experience! I learned how to swim and play better at some of the sports. It was an experience to leave home for a couple of weeks. As an adult, I feel those days were the best. The memories obtained are irreplacable. I believe every child should experience camp once in their lives!
