Can imagination redefine the executive portrait? The genre is usually typified by pretty staid and conservative photos — just pick up any annual report. But if you’re lucky enough to work with clients who are willing to explore new solutions, there may be opportunity for creativity. I love the challenge of creating a portrait that captures the personality of that executive and tells the company story. If it stands on its own as illustrative photographic art even better. Below are some examples of business portraits I’ve created for companies in the software industry. You’ll spot pop culture references to the Twist, comic books, benday dots, Roy Lichtenstein, curve-balls, and even pizza wars.
